Statement of Faith

We, the members of Fingerprints of God, affirm the following statement of essential faith as foundational to our identity and mission:

The Authority of Scripture: We believe in the divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Bible in its original manuscripts, both the Old and New Testaments, as the ultimate and authoritative guide for faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17;2 Peter 1:20-21 )

The Trinity: We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully and equally God, yet distinct in their roles and relationships.
(Matthew 28:19, John 10:30, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Deity of Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, sacrificial death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, and His imminent return in power and glory.
(John 1:1,14, Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 1:3)

Salvation by Grace through Faith: We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned through human works, but it is a result of God's unmerited favor.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 5:8)

The Holy Spirit's Work: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers for godly living and effective service.
(John 14:16-17, Romans 8:26-27, Galatians 5:22-23)

The Church: We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers. We emphasize the importance of local congregations for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission.
(Ephesians 1:22-23, Acts 2:42, Ephesians 4:15-16)

The Great Commission: We believe in the mandate to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and demonstrating His love through compassionate service.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8)

The Second Coming: We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment, leading to eternal life for the redeemed and eternal separation for the unrepentant.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 22:20, Matthew 24:44)

Baptism and Communion: We affirm the ordinances of believer's baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith and the Lord's Supper as a commemoration of Christ's sacrificial death.
(Romans 6:3-4, Acts 2:38; Communion: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17)

Biblical Holiness: We believe in the pursuit of holiness as a response to God's grace, walking in obedience to His Word and relying on the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
(1 Peter 1:15-16, 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8, Hebrews 12:14)

In all these beliefs, we are committed to promoting love, unity, and the transforming power of the Gospel for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.
